Daniel McCormack

Daniel is an actor, singer and musician who is currently finishing his final semester at George Brown Theatre School. Born and raised in Scarborough, he found his passion for acting at a young age and is very thankful for the support his friends and family have given him throughout his journey. His favourite credits include Owen in Melville Boys (Theatre on the Ridge), Tootles in Peter Pan (Theatre on the Ridge), Petruchio in The Tamer Tamed(George Brown Theatre), Jamie in Long Day’s Journey into Night (George Brown Theatre), Gordon inSummerland (Toronto Fringe/Edge of the Sky), and his work in True North Mixtape (Toronto Fringe/Edge of the Sky).

Donald Molnar

Don is a bilingual playwright/director living in Toronto. Don has directed several plays at Alumnae Theatre's New Idea's Festival, including Vicki Zhang's Oracle Jane, Neil Naft's Friends With Benefits, and a staged reading of Rita Deverell's Who You Callin' Black, Eh? Don has also directed several staged readings of his own play, Justice For Maurice Henry Carter which he co-wrote with Alicia Payne. His most recent foray into directing was his dance play The Old Wolf and the Sacred Trout in the Toronto Fringe Festival. Don is excited to be directing a reading Alicia Payne's delightful comedy about young people chasing their dreams in YO CANADA!

JeanneMarie

JeanneMarie is a Toronto born Dancer/Actor/Singer who has always had a passion for the Performing Arts as both of her parents are involved in the Arts community in Toronto. She is a recent Graduate from Randolph College for the Performing Arts and hopes that all productions she is involved in inspires positive change and action for social and political injustices within her audiences. She is currently performing in The Lower Ossington Theatre's Production of Once on this Island, running until March 3rd, 2019. Alicia Payne

Alicia Payne is a professional actor, writer and artist educator whose credits encompass theatre, film, television and radio. Her professional memberships include ACTRA, CAEA, Dramatists Guild of America and Playwrights Guild of Canada where she serves as President (www.aliciapayne.ca). Alicia recently voiced a role in Transitioning Home, a podcast about homeless, transgender and street-involved youth. Additional credits include A Tender Path, directed by Soheil Parsa and the short film Mission Possible directed by Jani Lauzon. Alicia has performed in school tours and several Toronto Fringe shows. As an artist educator, she has led workshops for organizations such as Lakeshore Arts Shazaam! Program, Uth Ink/Luminato, The Conference of Independent Schools Drama Festival and Play! A Symposium at the 14th World Festival of Children’s Theatre. Alicia is a co-founder of Arbez Drama Projects (www.arbezdrama.com).

Jason Pilgrim

Jason is a Toronto-based actor who graduated from York University where he studied English as well as theatre. He recently appeared in the Secret Sessions' Ghostbusters: The Movie Experience. Jason is looking forward to working with director Don Molnar who he worked with on the staged reading of Who You Callin' Black, Eh? at the New Ideas Festival. He is thrilled to have the opportunity to participate in this reading of Alicia Payne's Yo Canada!.

Caswell Shaw

"Caswell, a film, voice and theatre actor, is a graduate of the Toronto Film School Class of 2015. Caswell has participated in a cornucopia of projects in the six years he's studied acting including previous stage performances: A Midsummer Night's Dream, Othello and Blithe Spirit. He voiced the character, Clarence Henry in the video game, "14 Birds Eye Terrace" in November 2015. He has also been in a myriad of other short films and web series episodes, one of which is his own creation entitled, Enigma, that eventually went on to be accepted its first festival at "Movie Makers Throughout The Bay" in Rodeo, California in December 2017. He is immensely excited to immerse himself as Marcus. He thanks Alicia and Don for the opportunity as well as the rest of the cast and crew for their commitment and motivation in making this forthcoming reading of the play come to life."
